Raising our Berners alongside our children has created some absolutely priceless memories that we will hold near and dear forever. We began this journey to bring families the love that only a Bernese puppy can provide. My name is Summer Ory, and I am proud to be owned by my Bernese Mountain Dogs of Sumbern kennel.

We perform genetic, health and temperament testing before considering a breeding. Dogs must fit the breed standard, have stable temperaments and display proper brains for training – we want dogs to pass on the very best qualities the breed has to offer.

I utilize the Antagene lab (in France) to analyze our dogs’ DNA for Histiosarcoma markers – the #1 cause of cancer death for our beloved breed. Our dedication to breed improvement is to produce better than the average – our litters will have more As and Bs than Cs. Every time!
