bernergarde
This database allows researchers, breeders, and fanciers of Bernese Mountain Dogs access to the most extensive collection of health and pedigree information available. Anyone is welcome and encouraged to create a profile for their Bernese, add health certifications, pedigree information, litters, photos and, most importantly, update the database with all health issues and if at all possible, age and cause of death.

aNIMAL GENETICS
This lab analyzes our DNA samples as a cheek swab to test for hereditary diseases like Degenerative Myelopathy and von Willebrand’s.
OFA
The OFA databases are central to the organization’s objective of establishing control programs to lower the incidence of inherited disease like hip & elbow dysplasia.
Once our Berners have been sedated and x-rayed (around 12 months of age), their scan results are publicly available in the OFA database, as well as Berner-Garde.
